There's a story in Richard Anderson's (
tinfoil.gif
for mentiong an English tailor) book about a man who comes in looking for "a" tie. My best is that he's a member of SF.

Yep, that's pretty much how he behaved on his leash.

Serious question: do people actually put their cats on leashes?

A member of SF would have come in asking for "the" tie.

However, when we drove cross country, I had the RJ cat on a harness with a detachable leash so that I could control him when we made stops, and I did similarly when we flew to Paris. Was quite disappointed that he did not get a "Cat Meal" in Connoisseur Class.

Paris, cat meals, harnesses . . . I wish I were your cat.

Easy solution: fly to Naples in the Vox jet, take photos of the vault inside the vault, post.

Soon you will post some somewhat unattractive English bespoke suits and describe them (obnoxious self gloss) as aristocratic. Then you will feel better, and some of your psychophants will come and slurp at your fountain.

That wasn't an iGent. An iGent would need to know the weight of the silk and interlining and where they cam from, how the tie was constructed, what that construction meant and the name of the person who sewed the tie.

Are you actually under the impression that a lot of people here behave like this?

+1

Minor correction: "regal" not "aristocratic" was the word used by one of my psychophants, the one who runs the lounge-y site.

All in all, though, a well done post, enjoyable and competent.

Someday, we must walk our cats together and take in the ocean breezes.
