Did the Boisson Renard have a fox on the label? If so we've had that too, also at least one Silex, and the Blanc Fume de Pouilly. That last one I found on the wine list at Aquanox in Las Vegas for an unexplainable, given the wine and location, $50. They had three bottles and our party of four drank them all.

That's astonishing. And yes, the BR had the fox. It was the only DD I ever saw available for sale. The glass of Pur Sang I had cost $75. They had DRC for $425 IIRC as well, which, paradoxically, may have been the better deal.

How was the Carbonnuiex? I have a few bottles of the '05, but have never tasted their wine.
Obviously a good vintage, tannins starting to come around and acidity still alert. Drank another one a few months back which made a bigger impression. Still a lot of life in it

Yup. Must put the rest of the case away.

There are some really good value offers right now -- HiTime has El Nido Clio and WineEx has Beckmen cab.
