Wait. Wut? You guys remove the wax capsule? (insert I am disappoint gif)

Just fearlessly stick the worm right through the center and remove the cork like it's not even there. You'll get far better results than removing it about 99% of the time.

That is also my experience. Usually the wax will pop off the top with a little pressure from underneath. When I was a waiter there was no way I had time to **** around with removing the wax

Thoughts? The only thing I don't like is the wax capsule. It's awkward to remove quietly, which allows for marital conversations like: "Wait. Are you opening another bottle?"

From what I recall it was a great wine for the price. Slept like a dead man so don’t know if it was the wine or not.

As for the wax, my wife removed the cork while I was out picking up food but she put the corkscrew right through the top

Man... I've been walking around, spending my life in the shadows. For real, hands down. I did the cutting and cursing thing (not to mention Omegas "you don't need another bottle this late")around the wax thing last night! I deserve that disappoint gif so hard?

Vinous, 93 points: Turnbull's 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely gorgeous. Ripe, bold and plummy, with bright floral overtones and succulent red berry and plum fruit, the 2017 is a stellar wine. Best of all, it is a screaming value by the standards of Napa Valley Cabernet. Is there a better Napa Valley Cab from estate fruit for $50 a bottle? I doubt it.
