1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Geez, there have to be more stores there somewhere. Of course I am headed to a more urban region. Most of the driving is to get to the area and back.

5 1/2 hours here too. Better go. It's gonna be a big day.

Jealous. Would love a MB but just can't justify the money on a pen at this point in my life. If I found one at a thrift though I'd use the crap out of it! Great haul.

Thanks, and I shall, Im just having a difficult time figuring out which ink to use in it.

Also a thrift fit, brought to you by the late 40s, everything is made in america, and either period, or repro of period.

Because people see them as status symbols. Really I love my plain old Parkers/Sheaffers, or most recently my Pilot Metro, and that's only a 15$ pen.

But when the opportunity arises to pick up a nice Euro pen for a song, who am I to deny it? Going to the estate sale these came out of tomorrow in hopes of other fun things.

My father in law collects them. He once left one on the roof of his car while he was writing something down with it in the park lot but forgot to retrieve it. He ended up running it over...[IMG]

I really like fountain pens actually, just ordered two cheap chinese Mont Blanc equivalents, supposedly really good pens for use (and I'm trying to learn better handwriting). I have a vintage Mont Blanc from the 50's in great condition, a model 256, and a Pelikan 300, also from the 50's. The latter is supposedly a very rare model. Found 'em both cleaning out an estate.
