For all of my fellow thrift shoppers this is for you.  A thrift and consignment store locator.

I struck out at all my usual stops today but found this for $0.82 at a hole in the wall place I found via that website:

600

So thanks Bro Montana! :slayer:

Found what I thought was a very recent Zegna Mainline 15 MilMil 15 navy suit. Then I focused a little harder on the label:

700

:D I'm thinking this has to be fairly rare - I've personally never seen it before, and maybe limited production? I cant remember the conversion but I think 13 micron is between Super 200s to 220s or so.

HOLY **** HOLY ****, ok in the field, just came across about 9 Oprhans, suits or SC , one from fendi (suit at 75), one dunhill, and some suits from Carl Stuart and orphans from Richard James. ALL 36R, but the arms are too short not sure , should i get them all? also not sure if I should grab the orphans from James Most are pinstriped and don't seem like they would make good SCs. Thoughts on just grabbing them too?

Ah damn, left because they were about to close. I realize that my phone didn't submit this post until recently, sorry man. I think I'm gonna go back tomorrow if time allots depending on what my tailor says out here about the arms on these (almost all had surgeon cuffs and I don't wanna ruin the suit).

Did pick up the Dunhill, Chester Barrie for people up here if I decide to pass (knew someone would be interested, BP?) and One of the Carl Stuart's for myself (FINALLY A STAPLE THAT FITS) that I'm willing to invest the money in in order to get it tailored. Left the fendi suit and two other Carl Stuart's, left all the James orphans since I hadn't gotten a response before leaving.

Edit: Just noticed my atrocious spelling / formatting from my phone, apologies for subjecting you all to that. Some previews of the finds (sorry in advance for the ****** lighting, I've actually wanted to post a few new finds but can't get any suitable lighting in this sublet):

Finally, some of what I left behind:

From left to right if memory serves me right: Richard James, Carl Stuart, Fendi, Carl Stuart, Richard James?

Not a true thrift brag, but I was incredibly chuffed to find this at about 70% off at Nordstrom Rack today.

I am pleased to say to everyone awaiting packages from me (some of you very patiently!), your stuff is in the mail and should be there in the next few days! Yay! Sorry for being a delinquent recently, and thanks for your patience -- been getting ready to move and my head is in about 1000 places at the moment.

Forgot to mention, I left two identical 50R (my size, roughly) Burberry one-button tux jackets (no pants) for $20 a pop. Don't foresee a need for a tux (and I don't want to go building one), but can point you there if you are big and want it.

It's been lamer than lame here, but I've enjoyed following the thread. No major thrift scores recently, but I did find this at a garage sale.

700

HUGE (about 3x4 feet) silk WW2 escape map of Japan and South China.

It's not worth a ton, but it's in really great shape given the age. Incredibly detailed, with all kinds of land features and ocean currents. We're going to figure out a way to mount it safely and frame it for preservation, as they're getting rarer all the time.

^ I dig that map. Lately, I get more excited about finding something really old and obscure rather than something that I can sell. I mean, I do get excited when I find something to sell, but I get personal gratification finding something so cool like that.

Speaking of excited, Im going to have a **** ton of pics coming in the next few weeks, Ive been on a tear lately, just no time to upload them all. Ive got 3 states worth to post. But, on a rare note, I (for the second time in my LIFE) thrifted a pair of shoes for myself! Churchs for Eduard Meier, perfect black cap toes. I put these next to a Lobb 7000 (IMO the only Lobb last that matters besides 8000) and they are nearly identical. Fits like a glove and if you can believe, I did not have a black captoe? I do now.

and the best part...

This is probably 5 weeks worth of finds, though a lot of the below was picked up yesterday on a quick run through some stores when I had a couple of hours to fill while my wife was at yoga. I got pretty lucky as every store was turning up good stuff, which hadn't been the case for some time.

Sorry, but nothing is available and I can't respond to requests for size or measurements.

Malo suede jacket - like new. beautiful jacket. moss green.

RLPL suit - like new

RLBL tuxedo

RLBL suit - different size and store from the above.

Brioni suit with a very subtle pattern - older, but barely worn, if at all, condition.

Brioni dinner jacket - found this one week

and the next week found this: Brioni tuxedo jacket - never found the pants

Chester Barrie for Carroll & Co cashmere jacket - waited a month for this to go 1/2 off.

Chester Barrie for Carroll & Co jacket - waited a month for this to go 1/2 off.

Bijan jacket

Aquascutum tweed - special in that it's a very slim fit, something I never thought I'd find. I can't believe I actually found a tweed coat that fits me.

Schott leather jacket - very little wear

Barney's "Made in Italy' cashmere woman's coat - like new condition

Peal for BB shoes

NWT Carroll & Co "Made in Scotland" cashmere sweater

Gucci (vintage?) pocket square.

Ties

Records
