DM7: What. Just... What.

Today this thrift store that donates to a well-known charity had a rack setup with a bunch of E Zegna (and a few versace) shirts in sizes 18.5 and 19, all priced at $40. There was a sign that listed the retail price at $395. This place has basically turned into a consignment store via their pricing, unbeknownst to the employees. I asked if they would come down on the price if I bought a bunch, but she wouldn't go below $25 a piece for the six I wanted so I passed. The lady got all bent outta shape and started ranting to another employee "it's a $400 shirt whatever." I guess she thinks the only way one can buy a new Zegna shirt is by walking into a shopping mall and going to Neiman Marcus.

I did manage to get a pair of AE and 2 T&A shirts
.

Similar experience. Today I found a black cashmere overcoat for Bullock & Jones, Made in England (no identifiable tags), size 40R (I'm looking at you, Dig) but it had no price. Asked the price? $80. And this isn't one of the GWs that usually overprices. Left it.

Dig, if you want it when it goes half price, let me know.

Also, which one of you dudes was one step ahead of me today? Every store was picked clean. And I think I ran into the culprit on my last stop. Anyone buy a kid size Vineyard Vines and a Zegna suit?

Finds were limited; hope to have pics later. Incotex trou, CT wedding tie, Bugatti tie, Magli suede loafs and a couple pair of Canali trou.

Always nice to find Incotex. Quality is great but retail is def not worth it.

X is apparently the new super-size. Or super math-y. You take your pick. I hope they didn't force you to solve a math problem to buy this.

I forget...who are the backpack experts around here?

Backpack you say..... I know my way around the vintage stuff pretty well.

Work was slow. Took a 1/2 day off unpaid. Hit one indie thrift and two GW's, thinking "I better find something to make taking unpaid time off worthwhile."
I believe I did.

For you vintage audio gear fans - - from Goodwill, at normal Goodwill prices - matched pair (sequential serial #'s). I'm no Beefcake Frenchy so you can imagine how difficult it was getting these into the back seat of a 2-door car...they weigh 64 pounds each and are not small in size.

Tested OK in the store but I dunno if they are still true to spec's. Need a good cleaning. Foams are fine. Cabinets are a bit rough - will end up using them at home and if I don't like them, I can part them out and make more than if I sold them whole (funny how that works with stuff like this). These were made from 1970 to 1975. I do not have the separate equalizer that originally came with them; didn't see it anywhere in the store...but I don't need that much bass.

I got so damn excited when I saw them, and didn't have a cart, that I literally hurt myself physically by sprinting thru the store with one speaker in my arms to load it into a cart, and running back to load the 2nd one.

"Tis better to have a cart and not need it, than not have a cart and be in need."

Sellers...

Are there OTHER options when selling items via ebay than using paypal?

Can we set up google wallet or square or something? Paypal is ridiculous
