Throwing around webster's thesaurus doesn't make your attempt at a point valid. In fact, i find it amusing that someone (who judging by the links to their auction listings in their signature) who undoubtedly benefits from a free market, is such a critic of it.

Gents: This is teetering dangerously close to a political, Republican/Democrat kind of thing.

Which, I'm afraid, I must forbid.

Maybe not, but perhaps these do:

And participating in the exchange of goods for capital clearly doesn't mean I'm a free market advocate. There's a difference between evangelizing the free market and selling **** on eBay, but that distinction is lost in the sociopathy that accompanies your brand of knuckle-dragging support for what you call "free markets."

While those photos are genuinely sad, the point you're trying to make with them is a stretch. A country's general disinterest in its environment and citizens is not wholly indicative of the general state of the free market system. Especially when said country is not a participating member of that system other than a workforce consisting basically of endentured servitude. The government elite in those manufaturing countries are even more to blame for facilitating what you see in those photos and turning a disinterested eye to it and becoming exceedingly rich because of it. Furthermore, I have absolutely ZERO doubt that you own at least one product made in a facility just like the ones captured in those images. Those who live in glass houses should not cast stones.

Ok im done, who has got some 80's Dior ties to post up!!

human progress follows free markets (true free markets, not what we have today), death and poverty follows planned economies... i can't believe we're actually discussing this in 2013

More on topic:
This is different than Donegal tweed correct? Any ideas on quality? Seemed good enough for $5 cuz all I need are the arms dropped.

I like Donegal better than Harris, but it seems harder to find. It's not as thick usually as the Harris (from what I've seen), so might not last as many decades, but is more comfortable to me.

Man, the fleece finds are getting epic around here... Popped over to Santa Cruz for the day. Picked up fleeces by Campmor (not epic good, but my first Campmor find ever), Mountain Hardwear (womens medium, I think. No tags), and Patagonia (older US made good stuff!). Also Orvis wool vest (XL).
