I love the Craigslist free section. The totally awesome thing I didn't know I needed. Sorry for the crappy pics.

Trenton Potteries Company (purchased by Crane in the 1920s)

The person said it was from 1918. I bet that is close.

Strategically dumped in the yard until I have them listed for local pickup (I think the lid is newer) .

You know there is a market for toilets with full sized tanks. That old five gallon flush is a beguiling mistress.

If you're planning on using those for personal, go gentle. From all reports the sole wears out like a cheap eraser.

@capnwes Yours also look like they're Sanders & Sanders Playboy chukkas. Although if you're lucky they'll be Herring Shoes Mustangs, which are made in the UK. I'm told the soles on those ones last a lot longer.

Cheers!

Guys, long shot here probably, but do any of you know a company that makes Aran knit style socks? I've got a customer whom we are making a full shooting suit for and he would like to go the whole nine yards and do cable knit socks too. So far all I'm finding are Wigwam, but they only make them for women. They need to be over the calf length. Like these:

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Someone on Etsy:

If you can be a little flexible, you can also try kilt hose which, obviously, are socks you wear with a kilt.

Edit: one more

^^^^Holy **** that was fast! Thanks @JohnAAG! I actually found a few on Etsy too, but that $100+ price tag is a deal killer. Found a women who does them for $45 in custom colors and lengths, so I might give her a try. I just wanted to put out some feelers and see what you guys had to say. Thanks again!

Is the customer rigid on cable knit? Jack Pyke makes some nice looking shooting socks, long enough for a Wellington style boot. Garters too i believe and reasonable.
