1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Whoops, was just trying to play with uploading some pics. Well this was me last week, I was selling some of the equipment in that tower in Belize (not the nice Belize, this was Belize City which is not the tourist area).

Great to see the forum back online!

@LA Guy: If you're feeling generous with custom titles, I'd love something. Couple that spring to mind were Master of Gift Exchange or European Command. I know you've been incredibly busy, but I sent you a PM a few days ago RE: Ludwig Reiter spring market. If you get a chance, let me know your thoughts as it's tomorrow.

I was experimenting with storage solutions and thought I'd share. I will have to triple what I just put up, but I'm happy with it so far.

    Ties:

I grabbed a couple of towel bars from IKEA (€6/each). These are the smaller ones, but I could have gone for the 60cm bars. I was going to use plastic rings they have to hang curtains, but found a cheaper alternative in the shower curtain section. Bags of plastic rings are available at €2/12. They're also better in that they can be clipped/unclipped as opposed to those for the normal curtains.

Again, I could do a lot better, but this was a 10 minute job. Cork board, ribbon, and tacks. I'll need more of them, but it's a start.

    @SpooPoker

I know you don't want to spend a bunch of time transferring and uploading, but if you don't already, you could also use AirDrop. It's built in to all Apple products. There's a good chance you already know this, but if not:

From any window on iPhone/Mac, find the little box with an arrow pointing up:

    Screen Shot 2017-04-27 at 15.05.30.png

On your iPhone, you'll find it on the bottom left corner. On programs like Photos, it will be on the top right. Once you tap it, you'll be able to select whichever photos you like. Once you're done, simply tap the device with which you'd like to share:
    fullsizeoutput_275d.jpeg

It's a lot faster than emailing photos. You can then upload by selecting the photos from "Downloads."

Note: You need to be in the same room as the device to which you want to transfer.

This photo isn't working because it's an image attachment from AskAndy, which doesn't display for users who aren't logged in over there.

Oh, forgot to mention that I saw this in the technical help thread.

You can drag/drop images from other windows straight into the dialogue box. It's pretty great, literally just click and drag and the image will follow.

It doesn't seem to work with other Apps, but I'm sure that's an incredibly useful time-saver for those that host images.
