Recently thrifted and sold the following m.a+ bag:

1000

Retail is $2500+ and it's a special ordered piece. Well under 10% rule. Brand new. Made of the thickest, most supple horsedick skin you've ever touched.

I'm just not sure why someone would give up their spots.
If they don't live there why does it matter? I gladly tell people or go with them, to my spots if they are in town or whatever, not like they're gonna move there and all of sudden you're just swimming in wake daily. I do understand where your coming from trust me, it's a part of how I make a living, so I'm not giving out **** to local people, I won't even tell girls I've dated cuz I don't need them to open their mouths about my spots to their friends and **** which is inevitable, but a fellow thread member from out of town? Why not, let them have some fun and hope they grab some **** that makes it all worth the hassle for them, especially people on here, a great group of individuals that just also happen to share the same passion as well.

Pretty sure someone here (can't remember who) showed an out-of-towner the ropes once, only to have that person move there permanently soon after and pick the place dry (their words).

But people have been nice enough to give me tips a few times when I've traveled places and I always appreciate it. And anyway, it's not like most everywhere we go isn't a Google search and a little intuition away.

if you're coming thrifting with me, you're getting drunk.

not only for the good times but for the fact that you won't remember where we went.

@capnwes @GMMcL @brianpore can attest to the drunk part anyhow

2016 starting off strong and getting better. Yesterday I was invited to join a multi-dealer gallery in the heart of Antique Row (http://www.westpalmbeachantiques.com). You can now find a small, curated collection of my better pieces at D&G antiques.

Haha wow, so my made up scenario that was supposed to sound ludicrous actually happened to someone? *******, part of the struggle here is knowing how to navigate yourself to optimize number of stops, and that's something an out of towner could never do moving here, I could hit 10 spots to there 3 or 4, so I'll still give out my route, up for a challenge if they want to test.

And yes, it is all easily found out via the internet, so you can be a nice guy and save the person the trouble, or be a dick and tell them to search blindly for thrifts in a city they know nothing about.
