Oh my, that's getting bought right now.
Me too, just got back from the SF RL store and they just got it (the selvedge denim jacket) in and it fits perfect... slim ...not boxy and not too slim, I can still fit a flannel underneath if desired but it looks like a modern fit. The denim is awesome, exactly what I was looking for.

As a side note, the SF RL store has a bunch of just released Fall items. Looks like all the sweaters are USA made..had a nice black indigo shawl color one and a blue indigo crewneck. The indigo bomber jacket is interesting. May go back for the Matlock plaid shirt, mainly because the color pattern is different than the rest of the plaid shirts I have...plus I usually like the first shirt that comes out in the season the best for whatever reason...

I received by T2 Denim Jacket in size Small. I was wondering, are the sleeve seams from the back suppose to be even? Because mine isn't and the one on the site isn't either. Is this intentional?
Must be intentional. I just took a look at the type 2 I ordered last week and it's exactly the same as you describe.

There are a bunch of denim jackets with a similar design (vintage Lee with zig zag placket). Not only the Kapital one you linked to, but also this one from Iron Heart. The unsanforized Japanese versions are waaaaayyyy stiffer and def. the traditional boxy fit. Great jackets but will take some dedication to break in.

I didn't try the Kapital one, but I can imagine it is nice as well but when buying Kapital you may want to size up at least one or two from your traditional jacket size (i.e if you are a 40 get a 42, or maybe even 44)...the few things I tried on from Kap in the past were strangely small.

As mentioned, the RRL one is selvedge, the denim is excellent, and not nearly as stiff as the Japanese brands (Iron Heart, Sugar Cane). The fit is also more slim/modern.

Alternatively, you could go straight for Lee Japan.

I have it! Any specific questions? I love it, lots of nice little details on it, hand warmer pockets hidden on the sides.
Wonderful! Does the color show up incorrectly on their website or do you just have it in a different color? Any additional photos would be welcome! My main question is about how easy it is to move your arms in the jacket. I've noticed with my Barbour jackets that the old cut ones actually have higher armholes and are more useful in the outdoors, whereas some of my new pattern ones are harder for that (as are Barbour-inspired things I've tried of other brands) Do you find that you can move around easily without the jacket itself shifting?

I'm curious as well. How's the fit overall. Is it pretty slim? Or can you layer with it?

There is only the one color, and it's a close to black. Definitely not as brown as it looks on the site. It looks grey in my photos because of the finish on the fabric.

The jacket sits very still when I move my arms inside of it. I have to bring my arms up to nearly shoulder height before the jacket starts to lift. Great cut in my opinion. Love how it looks and it's definitely the most practical RRL piece I have.

It's not super slim, the arms are very generous, it's definitely designed for layering.

Excellent! What's the breathability like?

I got the Barbour Commander jacket when it came out, which is visually a great jacket except they switched out the traditional Barbour cotton lining for some new material– which killed the breathability.
