My feeling about washing jeans : all thoses who prefer not to normally wash their jeans do it because they want some extremely contrasted fading at the expense of comfort and they also take the risk to make their jean easier to damage. This results in "making the jean your own" which is a selling argument which has little effect on me. I think there is also some kind of pride in lasting that long without washing jeans and counting the days.

I do not like extreme fading so I am washing my jeans - that I buy only raw or in uniform color - immediately (and inside out) after purchase and again very quickly after 1 or 2 wear, and then I wash them as often as I consider them dirty.
This *seems* to be fixing the color and result in subtle fading where friction really happens often.

I love RRL but for some reason I did not try any if their jeans yet mainly because Lee 101 indeed makes beautiful and reasonably priced ones with a slim cut that I like. I am yet to try their 101T to see if I like it even better as I like a slim fit bellow the knee but not so much above and it might be perfect for that.
Also Lee 101 jeans are always available with a zipper that I prefer to button fly because button fly, on me, tends to have the buttons a bit visible and I find it pretty unaesthetic.

These are arriving in a few days. I’ll let you know

More high rise pants is needed since RRL seems to be shortening the length on a lot of shirts/sweaters. I guess Thom Browne’s influence is moving beyond suits...
did you ever get these? thoughts? are they really high rise?

Hey this is my first time posting in this thread. But I’m a big RRL fan. Been buying since 2014. Is this worth the $545 and will it sell out immediately when it goes on sale? I’m an XL

I really like these cashmere blend plaid seasonal shirts. I probably have 6. It does seem like the price has continued to creep up. $545 on sale is still pretty dear. That said, I love these shirts. In a season or two, I’m coveting the newest release and not thinking at all about how much money I have already dumped into RRL. For the most part, I am grateful that my brain protects me from these kinds of regrets.

No, it's not "worth" it, even at $545. It'll likely make it to the second round of markdowns, and you'll be able to pick it up for 50-60% off msrp.

I'm sure everyone here is very much aware of this but it is frustrating how off the actual measurements of RRL pants are from the tagged size and from their posted Fit Chart (which claims TTS). I'm a 34+ actual measured waist on jeans and washed pants. I returned the 32W that I ordered in order to get a 31W for the right fit. Hoping the newly ordered 31's will, in fact, be 1" smaller than the 32's.

My 32 waist field chinos measure 35". I really like the rest of the cut so I just wear a belt.

I found that they are indeed high rise and surprisingly comfortable. I couldn't tell from the stock photos if they were a deep navy or black but in person they appear to be black. This could change to when I wash and break them in--we shall see! Overall, I'm very pleased with them
