Looks like a defect to me. The blurred trees, etc. might not be clear cut, but the dark "clouds" are nowhere in the picture on the official site.

Cream cardigan is awesome. It fits a bit slimmer than most rrl sweaters. Not chunky at all.

My normal size was not available, so I just ordered this in one size bigger than my normal size. I also only want a thin sweater for SoCal weather. Thanks for the info, and here's hoping you're spot on in both counts!

The sweater came home. The official description says "relaxed fit" so I was apprehensive, but I'm quite relieved @zippyh was correct on the sizing.

A thankful word to the wise -- if you buy RRL stuff that later goes on markdown -- regardless of its current (lower priced) availability, they will price match within 30 days of purchase.

On the tropical print jersey shirt, photos 1 and 2 are actual - with an image shift. 3rd photo is a web shot. 4th is directly from the site.

do you think the shifting is intentional or defective?

Hey, does anyone on this thread have much experience with the old Polo Country line? My understanding is that it was the line that eventually became RRL and I'm curious as to how those pieces fit as compared to newer RRL stuff. A lot of what I have seen on ebay and etsy looks like it fits pretty big but I was thinking that might just be the intended design, in which case sizing down might be inadvisable...in any event, if anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it.

i own a wool cardigan from the country line and it is very true to size. However, a lot of the line was produced when larger silhouettes were favored so it might not hurt to size down for a more modern look.

Here’s a heads up for my fellow indigo junkies. There are items already in the store that are not on the RRL website yet. Case in point, the indigo corduroy blaser. Yes RRL rolls out a blue cord blaser every other year, but this particular one is sweet. Slight bit of wear look and nice thick wale cord.

In addition, the Limited Edition indigo peacoat is also already in stores but not on line in the US yet. It’s looks way better in person than the website image implies. it’s pretty unique from your thicker run-of-the-mill peacoat.

i also would like to point out that the ‘plaid print jersey workshirt’ also looks way better in person than the image on line. The slight worn fade at the pockets and edges is very nice. The material reminds me of the red/gold (or is it really orange) cord Ottoman workshirt from last year. I waited on the Ottoman shirt and in the end, I had to hunt it down like a frightened little scared rabbit hiding behind a bush. Don’t wait too long on this shirt.

Fun surprise to come home to. Yellow and blue flannel soft. The light blue flannel extremely soft. Cords? Charmin soft. The dark olive flecked is awesome. It'll scratch a bit against bare skin but nothing like 100% wool.

Agree on both counts. I don't buy too many flannel as I live in SoCal, but that yellow/blue shirt looks really nice (and, color-wise, my wardrobe certainly would benefit having yellow in it). It's subjective obviously, but I'm lukewarm about that pocket design with the V on the top of the pocket even if the patch isn't there.
