The food stamps glitch should not have been honored. It is total bs.

If it's any solace, the corporations like Wal-Mart etc ended up fitting the bill.

Also, it's food, it was gonna get bought and eaten by people on the dole anyway. It's not like there are food resellers flipping doritos on ebay.

Maybe I spoke too soon.

Is that you RRL Clothing?

That's kind of the point though. If you go and buy 3 months worth of broccoli it's not benefitting anybody. The type of stuff food stamps works for isn't suitable for stockpiling unless we're talking diapers/baby supplies. Buying foodstuffs is just gonna go bad before you ever eat it.

Anything over $800.. Good luck with that, thousands of people will get rejected including most non-resellers and basically anyone who wasn't looking for only a handful of items. On the other hand, RRL will get special scrutiny since it's usually excluded from sales. People who bought Polo or D&S will get through because most of that stuff would end up at outlets like the article said.

The key was to add overnight shipping before they could intercept it.

Why are you shopping for food on ebay? I know things are going poorly for you in life, but damn.

You must have never watched "Extreme Couponing". I'm sure they stockpiled non-perishables like these folks.

How about the first person who actually receives anything? I made a small order to start, just to verify if this was real... Then made incremental separate orders. After midnight, I saw it still worked and made another one. My wife had to drag me away from the computer last night cause it was getting out of hand. As long as I can get refunded after cancellation I suppose no harm, no foul.

Based on the buzzfeed article I don't know where I stand. I'm sure most ppl that took advantage purchased the polo.com stuff, so they may get a pass. I stuck strictly to RRL and picked up a few solid pieces. I also paid via paypal, which may account for something.. The only major screw up was using the complimentary shipping.

Complimentary shipping on top of the 65% discount may have been the straw to break the camels back

Understand, haha I probably would've slipped up and did the comp. shipping as well LOL if I was online for the deal. Well I'll be waiting for the pics if all goes according to plan for you (thumbs up). I got two basics coming in tomorrow (not related to the deal), and I'll post pics when I get em' in hand.

Dunno.  Seems dumb to reject the morning transactions after allowing everything else to ship.

Funny thing is in your effort to leave out ''smug'' resellers, you really only hurt the little guys who spend lots of time here looking for help finding discounts. Trust me, smug resellers had PMed this code to each other hours before it went viral.  When I got the code, I didn't even bother using it for 2 hours because it looked so fake.

Don't blame resellers they weren't given any opportunities employees/public didn't get at the same time. Most resellers don't bite at 65% prices anyway, I know I am extremely selective in what I purchase, when I can buy RRL at outlet 85% off or stock up during semi-annual sales for ~70% + 5% Disc CB. If they cancelled my order, they'd really only be helping me and giving my money back to use towards outlets at much lower prices.

Hearing about pricks who paid $3500 for just a bullshit bed throw, or spent thousands on building a whole new wardrobe.  Having RL decide who "deserves" discount and who doesn't is disconcerting to say the least. Many resellers buy 10-20 pieces while some spend $20k just on themselves. I don't think they're any more deserving than resellers buying 100 pairs of jeans. You either let them all through or cancel everyone who used the fake code, anything else looks like a PR nightmare.

Slapping myself for not thinking to pay for next-day shipping.

I don't think you guys really understand how fulfillment works for large companies. Ralph Lauren is not a little boutique, where the owner proprietors come in in the morning check the web store, and prepare shipments. Fulfillment for very large companies is typically automated, with expedited packages getting first priority. By the time someone caught the glitch, is very possible that the discounted packages were already out of the fulfillment center. Non-expedited packages might not yet have been fulfilled. Once the shipment has been prepared, it's much more difficult to get a back. And besides that, it would slow down the shipment of the non discounted orders, which in all likelihood, dwarf the number of discounted orders. Moreover, once something has been shipped, the sale is considered a binding contract. Prior to shipment, a web sale is merely a proffer.

You can be disappointed and not getting the discount, but it would be absurd to be angry at not getting something to which you were not entitled in the first place.

I'll be very surprised if my order ships. Figured it was worth a try, though.

I kept it relatively modest (no crystal skulls or chandeliers): some plain tees, a sweatshirt, and a pair of jeans.

Two pairs of jeans here. One each in two separate orders...

Can anyone comment on chino fit? I ordered a 33 inch waist and usually wear size 50 EU. American sizing confuses me as it's not consistent at all
