What's significant about 1902?

I was being sarcastic. No offense to Dave_sfu but I find the giant pointless year pretty tacky. I would take the numbers off with a seem ripper if I owned it.

But speaking of varsity jackets, someone posted this repro a few pages back that's really cool:

Does anyone know of any other companies that produce this style varsity jacket with non-snap buttons? I know golden bear does some for Unionmade but those are just as pricy as RRL.

I posted those Moto ones too. Cool store if you're ever in Tokyo

Let's be honest, almost everything is tacky and pointless when it comes to repros. Nothing RRL does is original. Everyone likes something different. I personally don't understand why people freak out over half the stuff they do in this thread

Speaking of Triumph, I came across a shirt they make that has the Cat from that jacket in one of their t-shirts.

I also see a lot of the 'wings+wheel' graphic on a lot of other brands other than RRL and Rugby, brands I've never even heard of before. What's the significance of that?

Great link. I was on there for like an hour after you posted it! All sorts of amazing artistry from that guy.

Yeah it definitely comes down to preference. I just find the big 1902 to be unnecessary and ostentatious when the style and details of the jacket already show it's a design of that era. But for all I know the original ones sometimes may have had the year splashed across them. It's still a cool jacket so keep rockin it! The fit is way better than the Dixon.
