Stitching seems a touch sloppy around the belt loops. Any better pics of the leather tag? The logo is sometimes a giveaway.

btw when heid left in 2007, then kris van assch then he quit...and raf simons is truly terrible at doing jeans.

makes me sad but raf said jeans arent part of his vision..

WELL THEN TIME TO GET A FREAKING REPLACEMENT!

Actually, Raf only designs Dior Couture.
KVA quit his own label and is still in DH. KVA didn't touch the jeans.

then who designed the jeans from 2007-2013? those years had the best washes.

Part of that was Hedi, and then the latter half KVA. KVA still does jeans, but hasn't changed the cuts, there is a 19cm and a 17.5cm. They're still made in Italy or Japan, and each season there are at least 2 - 3 new washes.

then how come the washes have been sooooooo bad for 3 years now? last good wash release was around 2012-13.

I wonder if there are different cuts within, say, the 17.5 cut or it's just poor oversight because, for example, the Spring 2016 navy stretch jeans are (actually?) MIJ and the winter 2015 burgundy jeans only have 2% stretch...(I have both pairs). Also, some jeans may be the "super slender" cut with a low rise. If I dont make snese I'm inebriated.

I remember there's always been some debate versus MII and MIJ, with MIJ slightly tighter than MII even if the same "cut." The pocket size is also different (Italy is smaller), and the back rise on Japanese denim is either a half inch higher or lower I can't recall.

@SirGrotius is quite right about the fit and pocket size but the back rise is a little exaggerated.

I meant descriptions on the website, sorry. The navy jeans I have say MIJ but the website listed it as MII. That's still cool to know though @sirgrotius & @john-galt . I have a pair of jeans from FW13 that's MII so I'll take a closer look and compare.

Just checked out the selection at the Queen Street Saks. Sadly not huge. Just two styles, a raw-ish blue (might have been washed once) for $780 and a more washed style for $710. No Jakes, which is what I was looking for.

Still, this is a step in the right directon for Canada!
