great looking boots.

Thanks. Wearing them in waiting for the right foot fit to settle. Did on my other pair of Modified last Aldens. Also interested to see how the scotch grain looks with some wear on it.

Thanks for the input, mono. I really am liking these. I dunno how I missed these before. I think I'm going to pick these up for the fall. Are these relatively readily available? Or should I jump on them if I find my size!

Here's a pic of them with tan laces:

They seem to get restocked once or twice a year, but usually go quickly.

Is Unionmade the only retailer with this makeup? I already sent an email in to them, but if I can pick the size on their site does that mean it is in stock and available? Anyone have experience with them? Dumb question, probably.

Shoe Mart sells the same boot on both the Trubalance and Modified last. I have been eyeing the Modified version because it is a little different

I did come across that as I did a little more searching. How does the modified size compared the the trubalance? TTS?

Modified sits between the Trublance and Barrie. It is still down a half size but a bit less wide if a toebox than the Trubalance

I don't own anything on the Modified but I hear it works well with high arches.

The real difference in the modified is a significantly narrower waist to the shoe, with much more arch support. It's definitely a different fit from Barrie/TB in that regard. Otherwise, I wear the same size for all three lasts. Good toe room in the Modified. Comfortable.

I probably visit or order from Mill/Unionmade once a month and have had nothing but amazing service. Based on my experience if it shows as in stock on the site, it's in stock. Speaking of Unionmade... just opened this:

I have bought several pairs from them... They're very good, excellent customer service and if you see the size on the site that means they have it in stock (I did have one instance where they showed availability on the site and ended up not having it... They were extremely apologetic over the error).
