Fresh out the box and you are wearing them already... you need at least 2-4 weeks in the closet before even thinking about wearing them haha.

You have built an amazing collection of boots in a really short time!

Buying and selling Aldens over the past couple of years has left my shoe closet a mess and I'm trying to organize. I like how some forum members have a description of the shoe on the outside of the box so I decided something similar. This reconciliation process has left me with one box where I can't identify the shoe, model 6747. Google search doesn't reveal anything for this. I do have a grey/brown suede Captoe from Nieman Marcus that is unaccounted for and the sizing is right, but the numbering on the inside of the shoe is 9878Y.

Anyone familiar with Alden model 6747?

Unrelated (sort of) - I googled the number on the inside of my Brixtons (44663) and it brought up the Unionmade Halleck's. I remember a discussion a while back on how these boots were different. I don't see any differences and it looks like the numbering is the same.

Just gotten lucky so far that i've had some extra funds, hard to do with a new baby and house..eek. I've had to sacrifice some of the lesser finds to get some of these better ones but hey it's worth it. :)

I hear you, playing the newborn and new house game in the past year too. It's getting really hard to decide what make ups to grab and which to pass on, so many awesome pairs in this thread.

  • Always - Sustainability is a top priority in all my clothing purchases.

  • Often - I frequently consider sustainability, but it isn't the main factor in my decisions.

  • Rarely - I seldom consider sustainability when purchasing clothes.
