For those not following along... they hype that has recently attached itself to Alden shell has extended to Viberg shell.
The Brandy shell cordovan boots released at 12:00 PST (+/-) sold out in ~20-30 seconds online

And I'm sure at tremendously high prices. Viberg just seems to add $100 every release. They lost me quite a few $$$ back.

I wish Unionmade would restock the Natural CXL Dover or similarly someone else would do the makeup.
I would add that to my collection in a heartbeat.

I would just grab a PTB but I really want it to be a nice unlined summer shoe.

If anyone knows a retailer that has something similar to this or something upcomming in an 8-8.5D shoot me a PM. I have a sourness due to Viberg, plus alot of extra money burning a hole in my pocket.

Specifically with the lighter edge trim?

You might call the shoe mart and ask about the irregular version (FD-29364F) I ordered one and the only issue was a small scratch in the upper in a really non-visible spot. If they had fit I'd have kept them. I have the unlined shell which fits but the CXL version was way smaller. I've read it's because shell doesn't confirm to the last as well.

However, I wouldn't call CXL a light summer shoe IMO.

I live in Upstate NY, Im lucky if its 80 degrees 1 day a year so I try to be practical. Additionally not old enough yet for penny's or loafers.

Be careful, on August 30 that one powerhouse program comes to town, and you know, you guys really struggle with the "good" teams....

Well it's a good thing they won't be playing a "good team!" Lol... Jk my friend. My Terps are headed to the Big Ten and I'm hoping they survive their first football season with all of those really good teams.

This unlined brown chrmxl PTB certainly fits the light summer shoe even though it's dark, IMO.

The one I have is very matte

I always planned to get the chili edge dressing - should I pick up black with it or is there something better?

Have you tried paste and then finish with a top coat of wax? I've used this method a few times and it works really well.

Not sure what Leffot's makeup was, but these are the 40557H - Trubalance, Neo-Cork, available any number of places (mine came from North River Outfitter).

Trubalance doesn't get a lot of love in this thread, but these are comfortable as hell and plenty sleek enough for work boots IMHO.
