J. Crew LWBs showed up with no bags and have clearly been walked in. Send back for a new pair or try to negotiate a discount. At what price are they a good deal relative to a "perfect pair"?

I got a 40% discount out of them with respect to a pair of slightly scratched navy CXL PTBs. I seem to recall someone else getting 50% out of them in connection with a slightly worn pair of 975s. To me those are no-brainer deals.

I'm sure you're aware, but mafoofan ordered 5. I think a flat welt would have better suited the plaza and single leather soles.

Haha holy, didn't think it would be five of the same exact shoe. Doesn't make me feel as weird MTOing three strands in different colors.

Weather finally warming up so what better time to break out the whiskey LHS for their second wearing.

Quick question about the quality of the shell on your shoes - on mine, I am a bit disappointed by the quality of the shell itself. Take a close look at yours on the left and right side of the vamp and let me know if you have any patches where the shell is "rough" - like the surface of an orange. I have a big spot on each shoe where the shell simply isn't smooth. It isn't on the vamp, so I shrugged it off, but for the price, I'm not thrilled about the quality in all honesty... Cheers, BN

I hated Foo's LWBs on the Plaza when that thread started, but I've warmed up to the look. I think a Grant lasted LWB is still my favorite.
