hello all...first post here so hopefully this is within the rules..
So I recently picked up my first pair of Alden's (black calf, plain toe blucher) and have since decided I need another.
I was leaning towards a pair of Indy boots but don't really have a need for a boot and am not a huge fan of the look with non-denim so I was hoping to get another pair of blucher's in more rugged form.
I've kind of narrowed it down to the 2 below and was hoping to get any input/ advice/ etc on either or both models (or any other Alden that may be similar..)

Thanks!
PS: so many amazing shoes in this thread..
After a shoe as simple as a calf black PTB, why not mix in something a little more interesting...

I actually was in your boat with the Indy. However, I found them at a price I couldn't refuse earlier this past summer ($300 BNIB) up in Baltimore. After each wear I consider them more and more comfortable. I am convinced it will be the most comfortable shoe/boot I have by the end of this month. There are a plethora of Indy variations, but I am extremely pleased with the 403. BTW, I almost never wear denim.

Good luck to you my friend...
ps There is absolutely nothing wrong with your original thoughts on your next Alden purchase.
