You sure about this? I pre-ordered the Brown Chromxcel Jumpers from LS and I'm pretty sure they said it was Trubalance. Barrie doesn't fit me that well which is why I went with these...

I just checked my pre-order form I have on file and the brown CXL Jumper is on the Barrie last, not the trubalance last.

Well this is funny, I just noticed that I had a pair of Alden shell boots in my J Crew cart from a week or so ago, and I can use the current code on them. I guess the trick is to wait for the current code to expire tonight, add whatever Aldens you want to your cart, and wait for a code to start up again.

Or, look for J Crew to allow you to add them to your cart after midnight EST tonight, and see if the code keeps working for a bit.

I have two questions for all the Alden experts here. I really like the cigar shell captoe boots but I am questioning if they are a good purchase because I only wear denim. So the question is do they pair very well with denim or are they too dressy? Secondly, I wear a size 8.5 in the Alden x Jcrew Indy boot so what size should I purchase on the Grant last? The same size or should I go up at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks zissou. Anyone know what size I'd take in the Grant last if I wear an 8.5 in Wolverine 1000 mile boot and an 8.5 in the Alden x Jcrew Indy although there is a small amount of room in the heel on these.

Go with 9 in Grant.

I would say 9D would work for you. I have 2 pairs on the Grant and I go TTS so I'm basing it on that. There are others on here that wear the same size on both the Barrie and Grant. My take is that the Grant last has a more tapered toebox than the Barrie so if your feet are slightly wide, you would probably go true to size.

+1. I'm a 8.5D Barrie and usually the toe box is roomy. I have the cigar captoe boots from Alden of DC in 9D and it took a few wears to get use to the more tapered toe box. Great pair of boots.

they are trubalance, i pre-ordered as well.

Assuming you are talking about the Ultimate Jumpers they are on the Trubalance last although Leathersoul has made up a couple different variations of the jumper. Here is a little blurb from their site:

Our original Jumper Boots are made on the Trubalance last, which not only perfectly matches the look of this vintage inspired pair of boots, but also provides maximum comfort for almost every foot shape.
