Good Morning Gentlemen,

I believe that I am a pidge late to this party, but without further ado, I am pleased to share the newest addition to my family, the Ravello Shell Cordovan PT Boot.

Made out of Alden's always amazing Ravello around the TruBalance, a true sight to behold!

When it rains, it pours!

Had to pick these beauties up from UPS since they required signature. Glad no porch pirates were able to grab these rares! Ravello Plaintoes on TB with 360 reverse welt and double leather soles with dovetail heel. The brass hardware and Indy quarter stitch give the uppers some character.

Some brushing, a coat of Collonil 1909, and swapping the laces out for some Guarded Goods thin round laces will be on my to-do list this weekend!

Color 4 looks like Barrie with the other 3 on TB. Sound about right @mdubs. Regardless, just an incredible selection of PTB in rare shells.

I had my shoes re-soled by B Nelson. The welt looks quite messy to me. Is this normal / to be expected on a flat welt?

Did you brush the welt with a horsehair or pig bristle brush? Maybe that caused it (or can help fix)? The pictures are hard to tell exactly what's happening with your pair. I would reach out to them and see what they say. Maybe it's the result of them not being able to match the existing holes in the welt?

All of these TB makeups are looking great!

Yes, I have brushed them a good bit and tried to cut off the excess to no avail. Reached out to B Nelson 3 weeks ago, but they didn’t respond.

Of course they didn’t. The only thing worse than the inconsistent quality of his work is the very consistent subpar customer service. No way those shoes should have been shipped like that. No way you should be 3 weeks into a reach out and have yet to receive a response.
