Hello All new to the forum and new to alden as of today

Normally For new calfskin shoes I condition with Reno, Shoe cream and then wax the harder surfaces.

Would that be the same advice for new calfskin aldens? The standard finish from the factory looks really nice and Id hate to tweak it

Don't mess with it unless you feel like you really need to. New shoes rarely need conditioning unless they've been sitting and drying out a while.

If you do want to, The Hanger Project has a great primer for conditioning new shoes

Any way to apply the 20% ebay code on a counter offer a seller sent?

Once you check out you can apply the code and they will reduce the price by 20% as long as you do it before midnight. You also have to pay for this through a PayPal account in order to receive the 20% discount. It and it will not work with just a standard credit card check out

It's the eyelets. Alden simply decided to put eyelets on - I kind of like them as I will use them as business to casual shoes and the eyelets make them more unique

I've been checking this shoe out for a while but unfortunately when I decided to get it my size was gone. If Adam has your size, I highly recommend them.

Gentlemen,

A ton of fantastic photos, after a week on the island of Oahu, I am too tired to go back and comment on a weeks worth of footwear, but superb all around!

I did manage to go to both LeatherSoul stores and will post some pictures up in a bit. Great shops.
