Bought it in Gran Turismo!

When I buy my next 'all season' car... I might trade my rx8 for an Elise...

But MAN I wish I could afford an evora!

In the abstract the look of the Lotus is attractive (and performance will no doubt be outstanding), but in the real world, these cars are toys. They are, in fact, smaller than a Miata. Even with their aggressive styling and strong HP-to-weight ratios, they cannot escape either being effete at worst or small cars akin to a go cart racer at best.

I realize that I am a bit larger than most, so I may be biased, but I think that a good sports car should have a man's proportions and engine and should be cut with a woman's lines and curves.

Consider that you can buy a Ferrari 360 with 10k or so miles on it for about the same price as the Lotus. If you saw the 2 cars pull up side-by-side in a parking lot, you would expect a man to get out of the Ferrari and a boy to get out of the Lotus.

Artisan's rumination seems hardly out of line. I suspect we've all given cursory opions about something and brought the subject back up later for closer examination. Not quite sure what his political views have to do with it.

Maybe the snark was more kindly joshing of a good friend than I am reading...

Honestly I forgot about the old thread from months ago. I got an email from Winding Road and really liked the car so I thought I would the article.
