Movie snobs need not respond. I don't give a damn that the original is far superior, especially when listened to in the original Korean. I don't care that the film was made for the flyover states, for WASPs, or frat boys, or hipsters, or whatever broad generalization you can think of.

I saw this about two weeks ago, laughed a good bit, rated it a B, B+ at best.

I was trying to explain to someone why it was good but not great and suddenly realized there are no real quotable lines in it. Old School had a ton, Wedding Crashers a few, etc.

There is probably not a single line of dialogue (outside of ones repeated ad nauseum in trailers) that I can remember.

Does this trait, in and of itself, make it not that funny?

I don't think so, I think it just means the humor is different than the types of movies where you can quote lines and get a reaction out of context. Most of the really big laughs were situational moments and events/actions that would be hard to describe succinctly and to the same effect, I think. I thought it was pretty ******* funny, best part was the pictures from the camera during the credit roll.

i agree. it had some funny as **** moments but i'll likely never watch it again. the credits were the best part. if they had shown some of that stuff, it would have helped.

The Hangover was based off a Korean movie? Which one?

Black Doug: I always wondered why they were called roofies. Cause you're more likely to end up on the floor than the roof. They should call em floories.
Alan Garner: Or rapies.
Mr. Chow: To-da-loo, motherfucka!
Alan Garner: It would be so cool if I could breast-feed.
Alan Garner: Tigers love pepper... they hate cinnamon.
Stu Price: They're really a lot more mature than you think.
Phil Wenneck: [yelling from outside] Paging Doctor ******! Paging Doctor ******!
Melissa: You should probably go, Doctor ******.
Alan Garner: It was really nice meeting you.
Melissa: **** off!
Alan Garner: You know I was thinking of getting my bartender's license
Melissa: ************!
Alan Garner: No thank you
Alan Garner: No, it's a satchel... Indiana Jones has one.
Alan Garner: Gambling? Who said anything about gambling? It's not gambling when you know you're gonna win. Counting cards is a foolproof system.
Stu Price: It's also illegal.
Alan Garner: It's not illegal, it's frowned upon, like... masturbating on an airplane.
Phil Wenneck: I'm pretty sure that's illegal too.
Alan Garner: Yeah, maybe after 9/11, where everybody got so sensitive. Thanks a lot, Bin Laden!
This movie is FULL of quotables... top 5 comedy for sure. It's right up there with Old School, Anchorman, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, etc

I had a blast with it. Exactly what I want from this sort of movie.

Much prefer it over anchorman and old school.

Agreed. Can't wait to see it again. Felt like I missed a few lines due to folks in the theater laughing (not that I blame them).

I liked Old School a lot; wasn't crazy about Anchorman.

I haven't seen it yet, but it's on my rent/buy list in a few months. I heard Zach Galifianakis made the movie.

I hope Will Ferrell isn't in it. I boycott Will Ferrell.
