Hi all, I figured this would be fun: a thread collecting various pictures of the Duke. No.. Not John Wayne, but the style icon of the 30s and 40s in Britain: the Duke of Windsor, aka king Edward VIII. I found those: (hopefully this way to post the images doesn't qualify as image leeching... thanks, alias) http://www.artforumonline.com/images/duke.jpg http://members.aol.com/famjustin/king1.jpg http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/i...00/g457461.jpg http://members.aol.com/famjustin/king2.jpg http://www.crimelibrary.com/graphic....ork.jpg http://www.tmc.edu/tmcnews/10_15_98/photo_02c.jpg http://i.cnn.net/cnn....on2.jpg http://www.queenmary.com/QMweb/graphics/gallery/047.jpg In the last picture, I really like how his overcoat fits around the neck by showing a bit of jacket fabric. I don't see this usually with overcoats as they tend to cover the jacket completely. I'm thinking of getting this style for a beige overcoat I'm getting made these days, but am hesitating a bit. What do you think of this style? If you know of some other pics of the Duke, feel free to post them. bern
