That may be, but by the time the season changes my fall/ winter shoes are ready for their turn on my feet.

All jokes aside, I do have a couple pairs with dark soles that I wear into early winter, but I give mine with white soles a rest during winter.

why's it anachronistic anyway? i like wearing a suit but i'm a writer/artist- i don't really want to look like a banker...
lots of people in 'creative' professions can wear cord suits for a more relaxed take on tailoring. actually i recall seeing a shot of tyler brule in a cord suit which may have prompted me to get one.
