* The moment just before seeing your presents on Christmas morning. All hope and expectation is in that moment before the reality--no matter how good--takes it away. Sadly, this dwindles as one gets older, but having a few kids around can revitalize it.

Going to sleep after a long day with your s.o.(keeping the definition open for the various tastes/orientation on the forum). As RJMan mentioned, the way parrots reach for things like treats and toys- and the way our little birds get so excited when we get home, and sit on our shoulders chattering away and preening our non-existent feathers. Edit: the way parrots eat

The fact that parrots show a foot preference for eating and manipulating objects (some left-clawed, some right-clawed) Putting your legs up at the end of the day on the desk even if it means you lose your balance a bit. A nice good curry, lots of roti/naan, and a strong, hoppy, IPA. The aroma of cooking basmati. The aroma of pork braising in a pan with crushed coriander and strong red wine.
