For those of us who already have a gore-tex shell is their much argument for also getting an insulated field jacket? I was toying with the idea of getting one this year but it seems like you could layer any slim insulator jacket under a shell and get exactly the same function + the ability to use it just as a rain jacket. Ended up deciding to save money and just suffered through the NY winter but next year am planning to drop 150 on a down liner to toss under my Nomad and just be done with it.
Yeah the hem is high which will mean a wet arse when it rains but I guess thats the trade off if you want that look. That wetworker shell looks OK, but has stupid details. The back hem should be lower, cuff adjuster should be the die-cut laminated stuff (sewn adjusters always, always degrade before the rest of the jacket), the contrast fabric around the chest pocket is silly.
Yeah my Alphas have them. They do the job and are alright-ish on black jackets but look really bad on other colours.
I'm looking for some pants that hover on the border between "respectable" and "cyberpunk"... Outlier is too much on the respectable side. Surprisingly hard to find what I'm envisioning.
How about Maharishi ?
2032 and 2072 nanos are decent.
Acronym. May not be the cut you are after but P10 epic are really nice.
Has anyone had experience washing the Voronoi pant? It's not dryer-safe, and it suggests dry-cleaning, maybe because of the DWR? Is there a big difference in the water resistance? There's no way I'm drycleaning my pants...
You can just wash (delicate cycle) then rack dry them. Washed mine at least a dozen times.
