Tailored Pants Material

I plan to get some pants made to measure and the tailor doesnt quite have the material I want in stock.
So I will buy my own material, but this feels a bit daunting as I have only had one suit made to measure in the past.

I am really after material buying advice, and if possible, any help defining this material as I often hear people find the material can look quite different on the roll as opposed to when it has been tailored into a garment (a matter of perspective I guess).
What type of material do you think this is, anything about the construction/weave/colour and anything else you think I should know.

I am also trying to get a well tailored fit similar to this. Any pointers about directions I should be giving my tailor would be very appreciated too.

That looks like cotton drill, but it's hard to tell from just a photo. Also, only a tailor will know if the cloth is suitable for the troisers. Bring in these pictures to show your tailor, and explain that this is what you want for both fit and material, and start from there.
