T-shirt over long-sleeve button-up?

I, mistakingly, tried this once. It wasn't terrible though. I wore one of the black Trovata "Upperclass Aspirations" tshirts over a pretty slim fit white button down. I got two different reactions from two different female friends, one "what the hell is that?" and one compliment, haha.

I probably had some liberty because I was doing it in orange county, where people wear stuff like that and sandals 24/7.

Anyway, I'm going to go with the rest of the folks here and say no.

T-shirt over long-sleeve button-up? Only if you roll up the sleeves of the button-up. Still it looks marsupialed.

At least you know you have carte blanche to do everything you want to/with the second one. She obviously likes you...

Okay, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that if you want to do something like this, a possibly cool way to do it (though I hereby ruin it by talking about it on the internet) would be if you already had a real punkrock thing going on, messy black hair, skinny, pale, piercings, tats, facial scars, snarl, skinny black jeans, safetypins, etc.

Then take a beat to hell band t-shirt (that you bought at the show, not at Hot Topic), cut/tear the arms off it, cut a big V neck, then straight down the front and make it into a vest.

Then put on a very slim dress shirt half-tucked, skinny loosened tie, put on your gutterpunk vest and safety pin it together in front (or don't). All of the items should be from thrift stores.

I can imagine this working for some person (not myself or anyone who would read this).

Otherwise, no.
