I am thinking about adding a few lighter weight sweaters. I already own several in cashmere (some expensive and high quality, some were Costco-level purchases from when cashmere was apparently briefly unregulated - while not quite as nice as the higher end sweaters in terms of fit and finish, the wool is tremendous, and they have held up quite well), a few lambswool, one merino. Some crew necks, a few two button styles with collars, one with a quarter zip. the merino quarter zip is the disfavored closet dweller, i rarely wear it.

I thought one obvious ‘hole’ was nothing in Shetland wool, so i just purchased a Harley of Scotland Shetland. I am not 100% sure but probably two ply; i thought about a ‘shaggy dog’ and decided it would probably be too warm.

What lighter weight sweaters do you like to wear, and why? Any particular type of wool you favor, and why? Any suggestions of things I’m missing?

For selfish reasons, I’m excluding heavier sweaters from this inquiry. I own more than enough of those, though i could see hunting for a heavier Shetland.
