I don't see any problem to wear these loafers with flannel pants, I believe they'll look great.

^ I agree, those look perfectly fine to dress up with some grey trousers. I think the dark brown suede will provide a nice visual pop along with some mid grey flannels.

Got these blue suede wingtips a little while ago...got em on the cheap at Nordie's Rack but I love em. I swapped out the stock brown laces with this lighter tan color:

What a beautiful shoe. It is kind of cool to see a suede PTB/dirty buck in an 888 last. At first I thought the sole was leather, but looking closer it looks like rubber (as it should be for a dirty buck).

I have these on the way. 2 months or so.

They are 100% NOT Ok in the office as far as I'm concerned. I have the navy and the snuff, as well. I wear them casually. This is going to be for all kinds of chinos and linen pants. No real wool trousers. Or at least, seldom.

String makes it 100% casual to me.

My office is business casual but I still wear wool pants and a dress shirt and sometimes a sport coat if its cool outside. Would you say the shoes would work with wool pants and a button down? I would never wear them with a suit.

I only wear button downs. And if it's like a four seasons wool, sure. I have no idea on the heavier wools since I don't wear them. These probably look best with khakis.

http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mb80wn7abH1qfrjg0o1_500.jpg (excuse the trendyness, just the color) that would work just fine. For the most part, all my string loafers go with chinos and linen. I'm not sure if your office is cool or not cool with that. It might be?..

My office is less than fashionable and I'm dressed up wearing wool pants and a button up. Most people wear a polo shirt and khaki's, and not nice khakis either. Lots of slobs in my office! If I wear cotton chinos, its on a Friday. The only time we have to wear a tie is if we have a meeting with a client.
