NOBD, I like the two cap toes. Remind me, who made the dark chocolate cap toes? Is that a local shoe maker?

Greve, an old Dutch brand; the shoes are made in Rumania nowadays.

Some more, from the shoe thread (with the C&J Belgrave):

I like the Greve more than C&J, I think that the shape of the last is slightly better and as I recall fits you better too, I'd stick with them. I bet they are cheaper than C&J too, no?

Yes, they fit better. I think the C&J's are slightly more elegant (the shape of the waist, and the stitch lines on the side). Not cheaper, unfortunately. OTR is about C&J Benchgrade level, MTM (these) above Hangrade. (They also offer MTO which is somewhere in between Bench and Hand, IIRC.)

What's the Austrian? The boat shoe is rubber, the rest leather (double leather on the chukka).

Thnx. I meant the Dutch not the Austrian! So rubber/dainite is no good?

Ah, same continent though... Rubber/Dainite is fine, as far as I'm concerned, depending on the usage. I need some rubber soled boots/chukka's for winter.

Don't know. Is there really a difference?
