I have 2 pairs of suede chukkas that I wear through the winter with salt, snow ect. The nice thing about suede is you can basically wash them completely with water & cleaner (I use Saphir), stuff them with newspaper and let them dry overnight and you are good as new. In fact the only thing to worry about is oil/grease. I think Leffot or Hanger Project posted a video a while back about cleaning them this way.

DL-

Thank you, that was exactly what i needed to hear. In terms of cleaning i own Saphirs Super invulner, Renovateur and their omni'nettoyant product. Was not sure whether the suede eraser was necessary so i didnt buy at the time.

I haven't ever had to wash my suede - the eraser and brush have gotten mine back to looking great. But yeah, good suede makes a good winter shoe.

Ha! Let's see whether i will ever use the omni'nettoyant; a lot of shoe care is trial and error for me. Same regarding the renovateur product.

Hi guys - serious question; is blue/navy suede chukka's wearable or will they look out of place e.g. at work? (will be worn primarily with khaki chino's).

Dark brown Suede chukka are perfectly acceptable at my work place for the record.

If anyone has good fits of navy chukka's please do post!

Do you already have snuff chukkas? Would grab those and then maybe sand or even loden/hunting green before blue.

Cheers. No i do not own Snuff, or at least i didn't think i did before i read this post: http://www.redclaysoul.com/loake-kempton-snuff-suede-chukka-boots/ Apparently my Kemptons are snuff suede?

I am honestly abit confused about colors, because i thought my Kemptons was dark brown while snuff is more light brown (to my eyes) - like these Carmina

The Loakes lean more toward chocolate than snuff from my experience, but each maker is slightly different. The Carminas are what I always thought of as snuff; medium brown/tan. Alden snuff is close:
