Stuff I can't afford on Ebay; aka blowing up your own spot; aka a kick in the nuts

I need more money. It's bad enough that retail makes you go "Woah", but you sort of are prepared for that when you walk into Jeffrey at the beginning of the season. But you know that it's bad when it is on Ebay, and you still can't really afford it. It's like an extra kick in the nuts. We knocked 50% off retail, and you are still hemming and hawing.

For example, this Miu Miu lon jacket from last FW. I mean, it is about 1/2 price, but still, I just got a jacket:

Or, this Dries van Noten Trench:

or even this P.A.R.O.S.H. jacket, which isn't even that expensive, but that I can't justify:

Everyone but you rich people, contribute.

I'm a poor college student who spends plenty of time wishing he could afford a pair of Flat Heads or Iron Hearts but is stuck with 501 STFs. Can't wait until I have an actual job and am no longer putting myself through college.

There's a Margiela leather biker jacket I saw on there. Retail was something like $3000; even at 75% off ($875), I cannot afford.

I just bid $45 on a Nom de Guerre safari shirt -- in mid August, when my last three purchases have been fall and winter jackets -- and I lost. It sold for $150. Who pays $150 for used clothes?

Add about $100 extra dollars to the price of any of those pieces, because thats what you'll pay for customs and brokerage. Still cool though.

Damn, the Miu Miu looks great. That third jacket really doesn't look like its worth ~500 bucks.

Don't be foolish! The materials and construction in Marni piencesrange from good to remarkable. $500 is pretty standard for a jacket, and if you got a Marni jacket suitable for winter for that price, you are doing all right.
