Time for Appreciation: vintage 1950s Stacy Adams' Daytona model, nylon mesh and calf, slim leather sole and a very contoured, pointy last. Hand lasted and welted.

I am thinking more 1940s with that type of sole and last shape. The 50s spectators tend to have a round front with a deep toecap.

1940s Winthrop sole:

1940's? or 50's? Winthrop "Delmar" spectator with brown suede. Original Light Tread heel cap over leather stack and original sole.

Pure early1950s. That deep toecap on the vamp is the giveaway.

I say early as you strongly see the last vestiges of a 40s mild spade last/sole. Most shoes of that type have a modern type last.

Wonderful example of 1950s comfort.

Why stop now?  I love seeing spectators. My AE McClains in Brandy and Bone. I hope as this is my 1st post.

One of the great AEs. When they came out the photos (typical AE) were crap and no one bought them. Now you can never find them and they were a great spectator.
