Some Good Deals at Target

Stopped by Target this evening to pick a few things up, and browsed thru the clothing section. Spotted a few good deals for those ballin' on a budget.

First off, they have their Merona velvet blazers on 50% clearance, so they are 29.99. They come in four colors, and are the three button model. Good price - construction and styling is comparable to H&M.

Second, they had 30% off on Merona peacoats. These were decent looking, and they had a smooth black wool model, and a textured twill-like charcoal wool (I picked this model up). Price after the discount was $42, so real cheap.

They also had some Merona leather jackets for about $84 after the clearance price, including a dark brown Cafe/Moto style that I will probably pick up if I can find it on the next round of clearances. I also spotted some argyle wool sweaters on the clearance rack for $10 or so.

Dude, you didn't mention the Merona suits! I think they still have the deal where you can get them for $110!

Oh, I didn't see the suits on sale, but then again I didn't look hard.

I have been impressed with them in the past. The construction/fabrics are not the greatest, but they seem to be styled well, and on par with H&M who charges double the price. They are about one step below Banana Republic, and they charge around $400-500 which is about 3x the price of the Meronas.

They also had some decent looking silk neckties for $19.99. I remember last holiday season, they had some 7-fold neckties for $34.99 which were marked down to about $9 a few weeks after christmas.

I have gone through a real shopping binge at target the last few weeks. Started with Jason's mention of the Mossimo shirts. So I now have merino v-neck sweaters, cotton sweaters, synthetic striped sweaters, two long quasi-retro scarves, merino turtleneck et.c from target. Very good way to stock up on basics at an excellent price and reasonable quality.

A good supplier for sweaters, scarves, and turtlenecks would seem to be a necessity in Arizona.

I saw that charcoal peacoat, pretty nice, and for $42 a hella good steal. I thought it was a good buy at full retail even.

I'll have to drop by tomorrow and check out the moto leather jacket, sounds pretty cool.

The Moto jacket was nice, but unfortunately did not fit. The small was just a bit too tight, and the medium was a bit too loose. The small would probably work for you. I'd pick up that jacket for myself in a M though, if I could get it for around $50 after christmas. EDIT: Here is the jacket, but it doesn't look too flattering on the model: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...sin=B000FMUF1C

Thanks for that, I actually saw the velvet blazers on the same day randomly without seeing this post. At $29.99 I couldn't pass it up. The 40R actually fits me reasonably well without alteration.
