Pleased and frustrated with my team's performance (West Brom) - pushed ManU hard, and would have forced a draw if our defending hadn't let us down again...

I'm surprised no one has talked about Napoli, given the love for Naples over at MC. This season looks really promising for the azzurri.
Hamsik, Cavani, Lavezzi going forward and Dzemaili and Inler in the midfield. There's a good chance that they might sign Rossi before the transfer window is over. If they do sign Rossi and manage to keep their trio, I'd say they have the best offense in Serie A.

No, I'm not from Napoli, but I freaking love their passion for football. They have a passionate president, and the fans are just batshit crazy when it comes to love for their players. Ask Maradona what team he thinks has the most loyal fans.

I played soccer my whole life and love the game. I have never really had the time to follow the EPL, but decided to pay the extra $15/mo to get most of the games on DirecTV.

I dug around a bit and decided I will cheer for Man City. I didn't want to choose a complete bandwagon type team and it looks like they should be able to compete this year. Add in an arrogant coach and I should at least be entertained this year.

Any recommendations for the best sites for EPL coverage? I have just been scouring some of the ESPN sites up until now...

You couldn't really get more bandwagon than City.

Indeed. I was really cheering for West Brom. They put up a surprisingly good fight - many people (myself included) thought United would walk all over them.

Shane Long's shot wasn't exactly a screamer but it was enough to put them on equal footing. It looked like 4-2-3-1, but would they possibly go with a 4-4-2 with Long/Odemwingie up front? Seems like they'd make a great pairing - a tricky, quick striker like Peter and a great hold-up player with pace and strength like Shane Long

For EPL I'd say United is still the ultimate bandwagon team. City's getting there, but they haven't won anything yet (save for an FA Cup). United may not spend as crazily as City, but they win.

Man City are *the* ultimate bandwagon team of the moment. What research did you do? :)

Going to love it when Cesc gets hamstrung again, and Arsene laughs all the way to the bank.

The bank where money will sit untouched...

I'm not sure how they'll combine. Long had only been with us for a few days so I was surprised to see how well him an Tchoyi worked together.

Holy ****, 4-0 Man City?!

I decided to take a nap after the first half :fu:

It was a beautiful second half to watch. City attacked like none other. Swansea's keeper was impressive throughout the game. 4-0 could've easily been 7 or 8-0 if not for him. It probably should've been there with all of City's shots off the frame anyway. Even though it was just Swansea, City look like they may have an offense to match their defense this year.

Not exhaustive as you can see :). That said, I'm American and a minority of my friends/family follow soccer so I don't really have much context when choosing. The only EPL fans I know cheer for Man United or Arsenal so in my microcosm I am a rebel haha. Also, without any ties to any particular part of England, I hope no one will hold it against me for choosing a top 4 team to root for.

Anyways, that was a pretty second half. Aguero definitely looks comfortable in City blues and I'm definitely looking forward to watching him this season.

That keeper was a beast and Swansea played well in the first half. It is early but I don't think they will be heading down. Watching Kun play, I wish Chelsea would have bought him and not Torres.

Except I don't know many people who would categorize Gunners fans as bandwagoners, given that we've been doing pretty sub-par of late. If you really want to not be a bandwagoner, support QPR, they need it

I have a soft spot for Wolves because I like their name, I like their emblem, and I like their orange kits

QPRs fans are getting very upset with the way their team has been run - massive ticket price increases and no spending on players. As a West Brom fan I obviously couldn't recommend anyone support Wolves :)
