So what do designers actually wear?

Like the title says, what do designers actually wear? There's another thread about designers wearing their own clothes, and they seem to always keep it simple, contrary to what they parade on the runway. I tried doing a search on designers like Raf Simons and Paul Smith and all I get is pictures of their collection.

If you go to men.style.com and look at their runway show archive, the last photos of many of the collection slideshows are of the designers walking out on the runway to take a bow.

I've met "Sir" Paul Smith a few times. You can usually see him on Saturday mornings at his Covent garden store or if you make an appointment at his Notting Hill bespoke shop. He is always wearing Paul Smith.
