I have 2 pair. They're definitely not slim cut, but I like the material (pretty heavy, but soft) and some of the details. I'll probably add them back into my rotation around Sept-Oct when it starts cooling off.

Just received the JCrew urban slim fit chinos (29x32). Fit pretty well, but I was hoping for a darker color so I will probably return. Also tried out the new gap slim khakis in 29x30, but they are too short (see awkward photos).

Received the Rivet Chinos from Epaulet, but found out I ordered the wrong size mistakenly (good thing I have an eye appointment tomorrow!).

However, the button-fly is substantial and beautifully done, the material is top-notch, and the construction is something else. From eyeballing it with a pair of MJKs, the fit seems to be rather skinny with a very small knee measurement.

Forget the fit, the new Gap slims are awful - cheap, thin material that wrinkles when you look at them wrong.

Their new "vintage khakis" are much better, but not as slim and not made for office wear.

I've got a pair of grey khakis from gap and they always get heaps of compliments. I find them to be a slim fit, assuming you get the right size.

Not anymore. Couple (I think) seasons ago they re-did them. A year or so ago they were pretty much cut like J.crew's classic fit. Now they're more like the urban slim but I think slightly lower rise and definitely slimmer through the thigh. I find j.crews classic/urban slim to be too loose in the thighs and the Rugby ones are now almost too slim in the thighs for me.

Also - Does anyone own any UNIS chinos or cords in the Gio fit? Measurements on a 30? I'm considering the royal blue cords but have never tried them on so I'm a little iffy about purchasing them w/ no ability to return.

do the "cheap **** pair" have the same color as the other khakis you like from H&M? I really like the color of the "cheap **** pair" because I have seen them too unfortunately I do not like the wrinkles it may have. Do you know the "5" as h&m employees call it? It is on the price tag XXXX/X replace the X's with numbers. If you call other H&M stores with that number they can look for it for you in your size. If you do find out that "5" number code please share with us as I would like to see what these khakis look like as well.

Also got the Gap khakis. Fit pretty well, better than the Dockers D1 slim fit.

D1 isn't even slim. I tried a pair on in a size 28 and it was huge, it was at least 2 sizes too big in the waist too when I'm usually a 30.

I thought they fit pretty true to size. I'm a 30 and fit a 30. Tried on a 29 and was about to pop the button. I think the D1 are certainly slimmer than the BR slims.
