charcoal wool body with black leather sleeves would be awesome

I talked with Teresa at Centralia today. Super nice. We only went over basics--I'd be happy to get some more info if there's real interest.

Minimum initial order is 6--after that you can order singles of whatever spec you set.
Lead time is 4-6 weeks. They get busy before Christmas.
Base price for a blank, all wool jacket (any color except white or gold, sizes up to 46) with set-in sleeves is a whopping $77.50.
That uses snaps for closure.
Zip adds $8.50.
Buttons adds $6.70.
Leather sleeves bump the base up to $110.50
They'll do half-leather (underarms, which I guess prevents pilling) for $102.00.

I didn't get into upcharges for the crazy details you see on the Japanese sites, or exact measurements on sizes; didn't want to waste her time if there's not enough people on board.

Seems like a nice jacket can be had in the area of $100-$150 (and possibly under $100, for real basic). Who's in? We can wait until mid-summer if people want them ready for fall.

Did not ask about a sleeveless model.

But seriously, I'm in. Don't know if there is a consensus on design yet, but this is my favorite jacket posted so far

I'm in depending on the colours chosen...also I vote for buttons rather than snaps or zips.

I would prefer if there were no ribbing on the bottom of the jacket....

I have the EG Skookum shooting cardigan/ jacket and it's a seriously practical winter piece.

Nice job JO3B and shoreman.

not to sound like a jerk but no one really seemed interested in my colorways. so if no ones down for anything but burgandy, which i'm not reallt interested in, i'm out.

but if they are, then i'm for sure in. 150 for a varsity is the move.

fyi, this is perfect for me. except no zippers, only snaps. leather contrast on the pockets too.

also open to similar ideas, but im set on navy.

I really like the burgundy wool but I would buy in a navy also. I'd prefer a darker leather sleeve to the one you posted though. I don't really care about snaps vs. zippers or any of the other "details".

Anyways, count me in.
