Finally took some time to take a few pictures of my Bonafé walnut suede zips. Damn these are just fantastic. What a beautiful pattern.

They're a real wholecut! The only seam is under the strip of leather on the back. Not even a seam underneath the zipper! So damn comfortable too.

Wow, I have never wanted a side zip until right now.

Absolutely superb. I've been wanting another pair of Bonafe suede boots since my existing Jodhpurs may just be the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. What last are these on? Might just have to go the MTO route for a pair.

These were on the 062 last (such a nice last, a bit rounder than the 946) with a bombe waist. Given how well these have come out I'm half tempted to do another pair in nubuck shark like I originally wanted. :p

Too hot for boots, but I wore these anyways. These zips are literally the most comfortable pair of footwear I own. Such a great makeup. The 062 last has become my favorite Enzo last as well.

Hello everyone,

I received from @Leaves a prototype of Champlain boots this weekend, and this is my brief review of these boots. In a nutshell, they extremely well built.
1. Last, the Champlain is built on Löf & Tung T last which fits precisely like Carmina Rain last, length and width wise there seems to be no difference between these two lasts. Löf & Tung T is little more rounded than Rain last. Please see pictures for more visual representation.
2. Leather, Mahogany grain leather seems to be of very high quality, there are no flaws in the leather that I can detect.
3. Soles, British made genuine Dainite soles,
4. Fully leather lined, as you can see from the pictures boots are fully leather lined.
5. The zipper is sturdy and of high quality. I did not want the zipper on these boots. I dislike the zippers because they often fail, but the zipper on Champlain seems to be built to last. Also, it makes it easy to put the boot on.
6. They are about 11 inches long from bottom to a top of the boot, and they remind me of American Roper boots.

Overall, I am impressed considering the price point these boots are extremely good value for the money; there is a current GMTO for Champlain boot https://www.skoaktiebolaget.com/col...ts/crowdfunder-lof-tung-champlain-100-deposit in case you are interested. The GMTO will have fur lining in insoles and vamp area.

By the way, I will be ordering another pair of Champlain boots; this one will be with a full fur lining just as soon as I figure out what leather and soles, I want.
I know this was a brief review, but pictures tell a thousand stories. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

Some samples I believe I forgot to share from Bonafé. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but at least something out of the ordinary.

@laufer how do you feel the heel compares to the rain last? I found the heel of the rain last to be a little loose. Although I suppose it’s less of an issue with a boot.

You are right; it's difficult to compare boot with a regular shoe. I did try the model Gessi briefly, and I did not notice any difference between T last and Rain last, the heel on both lasts feels the same. Of course, our feet are quirky things so your mileage may vary. It's best to try them on.
