Yes, those Lattanzi loafers do look rather ordinary. It certainly doesn't help that the owner apparently didn't use proper shoe trees, hence the large ripples on the vamp. On the other hand, it doesn't appear that these were even re-soled a single time, so they presumably have many more years of wear in them.
