FCS - thanks for the Sierra free shipping code. I ordered about 9 pairs of Patherella socks at $7.95 a piece, some inexpensive Italian shirts, and a pair of Hanro boxer-briefs at a whopping $24.95. Figured I'd give 'em a try since I was saving so much money on the Pantherellas. At least, that's the way I rationalized it to my wife.

I finally got my order today from Sierra. I mispoke above -- I got ZIMMERLI briefs for $24.95. Pretty sweet deal, IMHO.

The small is a little bit tight, but I'm pretty skinny so it works OK. I don't think they have anymore for sale though. Once I realized I had bought Zimmerli for $24.95, I tried to go back to Sierra and order several more pair, but alas, they are gone.

Ah, so you also got one pair of those shoes. What's your impression of the quality, are they C&J (Whitehall) handgrade by any chance? I was asking STP some questions regarding the shoes but it took forever to got the answer, hence my size was snapped by someone else.

Yeah, they took a while to answer my questions on international orders - eventually I just faxed my details over. As I said, they're my first pair of high-quality shoes, so I don't really have anything with which to compare them. Really nice calfskin, though. I took a couple of photos, I'm sure the shoe cognoscenti can tell us if they're C&J or not... Linked for size... Linked for size... Linked for size... EDIT: I really like that word, 'cognoscenti'. I'm going to start throwing it willy-nilly into everyday conversation. I'm off to Subway, where I'm one of the sandwich cognoscenti...
