I had a great black moleskin slim blazer from (ahem) FCUK (when they were good, I swear!), and probably wore it 100 times in 2 years. Then it came apart. One of the most useful things you can own -- works with jeans, wool slacks, khakis that aren't too light etc. So, yes.

I have a pair of 6" Chippewa work boots about 5 years old...think it's a similar (looks the same) model. They're pretty robust but the leather really has darkened a lot. The leather IMO is not as nice as, say, RW, but they are less expensive. I sized down a half-size and they've broken in nicely. I paid $140 for them. Can't comment on the Ascots except to say that they seem to lean toward a dressier style.

Scarves are pretty hot this winter and as for the boots I like the second pair (though I think you can't really compare because they are different kinds!). Cheers

^ I guess, but the thing is very few people can justify wearing anything, if we're playing the authenticity game. All the actual good poets are too busy thinking about other things to place their CCP orders, and the whole "not giving a ****" lumberjack look is actually a Carhartt hoodie, Carhartt work pants, and chunky black Caterpillar sneakers with a steel toe and hiking laces.

When the luxury market is busy glorifying a nonexistent bohemian lifestyle or an equally fictional working-class elegance, no one who can afford their stuff is going to be able to live up to it.
