Shoes that can be worn with a suit

A cap-toe balmoral and wing-tip bal are universally accepted as an appropriate shoe for a suit.

But what about bluchers, monk-straps and saddle shoes? Can these be worn with a traditional man's suit or would they look out of place?

Bluchers and monks look fine with suits. I agree that oxfords look more formal, but for a lot of gents bluchers provide more comfort.

They certainly can, but it's all about context. A blucher or monk strap will appear less formal than a cap-toe.
