i always was, more or less. i'm definitely not for standard answers, which are obvious but not.

i take in account the whole appearance of the person and give my advice according to the aesthetics i can picture with that.

referring to my answer: i cannot see the OP in slouchy schoolboy shoes, although they have a historical background in anglican countries.

Some say shoes should never be lighter than your trousers. Have any of you heard that?
I don't agree with that.
I've worn walnut shoes with dark blue trousers and thought it looked good.

Generally speaking, but i like yourself i'm not usually an advocate of it.

I'm not sure about the DB worn casually with an open collar. It needs the tie.
