what happened to him?
imo, trees with mediocre fit and some alden fan boy groupthink are no reason for non reasonable creasing/crippling.

The swans turned on him. Killed him. :D

Also maybe cordo's water resistance lends itself to wet weather/rustic use.

First three are Carmina, fourth C&J and the last one Vass.

Here are some on Vass U-last. The first is Saddle and the second is Cigar. The last two shoes I have on the U-last.

These are sleek as I can possibly go. Can't imagine going sleeker. I agree that the U-last works best on toe caps of some some although somehow in person the width of the bluchers appears wider than the monks. It might be because the welt is extended a decent amount while being lighter in color offering a contrast.

Short memory Spoo? Those have always stuck in my mind as the shell boot to have.

Ah yes. True. But I said shoes, not boots. :)

Yes, hard to find RTW, but sweet to get MTO.

Here are my sleeker ones. My favorite is the EG Westwood in whiskey shell. Going on the first resole and still holding its form. Love it.

I know you said no boots but I couldn't resist. Too bad, these Vass chocolate 3 eyelet boots were crafted about 1 size too big. Here are a couple more boots, a Rider # 8 balmoral boot and Carmina black on the Rain last
